Chair, Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership and NP11
As chair of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) since 2013, Sir Roger Marsh has led it through a period of significant transformation, including securing the country’s largest Local Growth Deal with Government.
Sir Roger also chairs the NP11, which brings together the 11 Northern LEPs and the Northern Powerhouse Minister to support the Government’s vision for the Northern Powerhouse. He was a Member of the Williams Rail Review Expert Challenge Panel, sits on Transport for the North Board and most recently joined the Northern Transport Acceleration Council and the Dept for International Trade’s Investment Trade Advisory Group. He is also Chair of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund Strategic Oversight Board.
Before joining the LEP, Roger was Senior Partner at PwC with more than 30 years’ experience in the private sector. In 2015, he received an OBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list for Services to Business and the Economy and became a Deputy Lieutenant for West Yorkshire in 2019.
