The Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network and NHS England’s nursing directorate are hosting an event in Leeds for community nurses and commercial organisations. It will explore the challenges community nurses face in completing their day-day duties.
A recent 2018 report by the Queen’s Nursing Institute (Nursing in the Digital Age) suggests that 29% of community nurses are still working largely with paper-based systems. This has a significant impact on community nurses’ productivity and ability to deliver consistent high-quality patient care.
The event will include a range of different perspectives and hear about technology which has the potential to significantly improve productivity, employee satisfaction and patient care.
